Refunds & Cancellations

At SafeSpot, we are committed to providing transparent billing and reliable service. This policy outlines how credits and refunds are handled on our platform.

1. Credit purchases

All searches on SafeSpot are powered by credit tokens purchased through our whitelisted payment gateways. - 1 Standard check consumes 1 credit token. - 1 Deep background scan consumes 5 credit tokens. Once credits are loaded onto your account balance, they do not expire as long as your account remains active.

2. Search failure refunds

If a safety check fails to execute due to a backend system failure, network error, or paid third-party API timeout, the spent credit tokens are **automatically refunded** to your account balance instantly. No manual claim is required for system errors.

3. Low-Confidence refunds

If our initial prescanning filters indicate that the input selectors (social handles, names, or phones) have extremely low match confidence or cannot match any verified profiles, we will flag this state on the screen and **automatically refund** the consumed credit back to your account balance.

4. Completed search policy

Because third-party verification, court registry queries, and face resolution engines charge us instantly upon starting a search, **completed checks are non-refundable**. We cannot issue credit refunds once the search dossier results have been fetched and delivered to your session interface.

5. Cancellations

As searches are processed in real-time immediately upon your approval, queries cannot be cancelled once they have been submitted to the processing queue. To close your account or clear your stored device credentials, please access your profile controls or contact us directly.
